A new dance season

Each September when the new dance season begins it is always exciting, but it is also a little bit stressful. I love seeing all my returning students and meeting my new ones. They are all always so happy and excited to be participating in dance class. That of course is the fun and exciting part. Being a small business can get hectic at times. Making all the registration forms and hand-outs, choosing music that I will now here over and over again each week for the next 12 weeks (these must be chosen wisely!) Why Dance?

Hello everyone! I read this a while ago, and I think it perfectly sums up the reasons to enroll children in dance classes. This originally appeared as a blog post on the Pennsylvania Regional Ballet site entitled “Confessions of a Former Dance Mom” “You start by taking your 3 year old daughter to dance class as something to fill an hour of her week and give her an outlet for...

Books, books, books!

I got my Amazon book order last week! I ordered a bunch of books to use in my Swingin’ Stories classes. I had been visiting the town library to pick out my books weekly, but I thought some of the class favorites I would buy, to start my own little collection. I bought them used from Amazon, which I had never done before, but I will definitely do again! It cut my cost by about half, and all the books are in practically new condition. I chose “very good” or “like new” books off the menu and ended up paying...

A little about me…

Hi! My name is Kristen! I am a traveling dance teacher, specializing in dance for young children. Lover of all things dance, old musicals, broadway shows, music, arts and crafts projects, baking, coffee, and laughter. I started my business Wiggle & Giggle providing dance and movement classes for children at their location, whether it’s at their preschool, town rec center, or their after school program location, about 2 years ago. My weekdays are not the same, I go to different locations each day and get to see different students on different days of the week. I am lucky enough to...
